well, my hamster had a baby and when i bought her i didnt know she was pregnate. i am cluless on raising them, so how do you do it?
Just take really good care of the mommy and she will take care of the babies.

I din’t do anything different. Mamma hampster knew what she was doing.
Once I noticed they were eating her food I moved her out of the cage so they could switch to solid food & she could get some rest (poor thing)

you could maybe sell them, but if your to attached just give them love and enough food and water and stuff, get a larger cage or maybe a couple cages. im sure they’ll be fine.

The best thing you can do for the baby hamsters is to keep the mother hamster well fed and happy and the mother hamster will take care of the baby hamsters herself.
Don’t touch or play around with the babies until they have their eyes open, grow some fur, and are strong enough to walk around.

I can do better than you can!
Try and seperate male and female babys but allow the mother to go between the two.. HOWEVER make sure the father (if possible) is kept in a completely different cage and always check on the mothers water. It’s also a good idea for you to go to your nearest pet shop, they’d be able to guide you on what to buy, what to feed the mother and how to get rid of the babys (if that is what your planning on doing)

Just leave the babies alone and give the mom hard boiled eggs, vegetables and make sure she has plenty of food and water. And keep her in a quiet room, and don’t touch the babies. It may cause cannabilism.

You’ll probably want to sell them because it will be way too expensive to take care of 11 hamsters.
Don’t sell them if their STILL PINK!
WAit like I think a month before they grow hair!
Do not touch them or take them out OR get near the female mom hamster or she will GET THREATENED AND EAT THE BABIES!
I am not kidding!
They do that because they rather eat the babies and feed herself than you killing them.

My 2 female hamsters have just had babies so i will be able to help you out.
Do not distrub the mother while she is nurseing becasue she might eat the babies. You should give the mother hamster some kitten formula to help her get her energy back and also to keep up her milk surpply. Give her plenty of vegtables and give her roast chicken as well.
If you think there is a problem with the babies then you can look at them by takeing a pen or pencil and dip the end in some cage litter or brush the mother hamsters fur with it to get rid of any strange sent, and then gentley move the nest apart and you should be able to see them, make sure you cover the nest back up so the babies don’t get cold.
You will not be able to touch the baby hamsters or clean the cage untill 2 weeks because this will change the smell and the mother hamster will kill her babies.
The baby hamsters will start to eat soild food from 10 days old that the mother brings back to the nest. And by 16 days they should be coming out of the nest and eating loads of soild food and you should buy 2 more drip feeders for the cage and put an extra dish in for the babies to eat out of. They can have hamster treats fruit and vegetables. And cucumber is the best type of veg for baby hamsters because if they can’t reach the drip feeder this will cwench there thirst, untill they can reach the drip feeder.
They should be fully weaned by 3 weeks of age, and then they will have to be seperated into single sex groups,males in one cage and females in the other. They are sexually mature at about 5 weeks of age, and they should stay in them groups untill they are bewteen 5 to 6 weeks old, and then they can go to there new homes. If your hamster is a syrian and you plan to keep 1 of the babies you should put it in a another cage because they will fight each other even though there related. This is only for syrian hamsters, i dont know about the other hamsters. You should type dwarf hamsters in to google and it will display some web sites that will help you. Thats only if there dwarf hamsters. You can give the babies to a petshop and they should buy them off you, or you can sell them to famliey and friends or give them away.

Do not clean the cage. Do not touch the babies. Do not uncover the nest. Do not bother the mother. Keep the water fresh for her, and keep her well fed. Make sure to give her some treats, maybe a little cheese or fresh veg. I would not recommend putting cucumber in the cage because of the seeds and skin – they can be dangerous to a hamster. You should peel an apple and cut it into small hunks for the mommy and babies to eat. Make sure to lower the water bottle so the babies can reach it. WATCH THE WATER BOTTLE – the babies will build a mound of shavings under the water bottle to be able to reach it – the shavings will clog the water bottle and they will not be able to drink! The babies should be ready for real food around 10 – 14 days. You should not touch the hamsters for at least three weeks.
When they look like hamsters, just tiny (all their fur is in, their eyes and ears are open, they are eating solid food), about a month old, they are old enough to be handled like an adult hamster. You can give them treats. You should separate them by sex now. Any female babies should be okay to stay with the mommy, and put all the males in another cage. IF THEY ARE SYRIAN – as they get older, they may start to fight. Syrians are not usually communal hamsters, so they need to be caged individually. IF THEY ARE DWARFS – you can keep them in same sex groups. Dwarf hamsters are communal, and will live together with their family.
You can give the babies away, keep them, or sell them to a pet store. The big name stores will not purchase privately bred hamsters. A small local pet store may give you a astore credit for each baby hamster, and you can use that to buy more hamster toys.
