Please tell me you aren’t keeping one and giving one away…that would be REALLY terrible……seriously, either keep them both or give them both up…I’m an adoption social worker and those children have been together since conception..to split them up now would be selfish and cruel.

Most couples wanting to adopt a baby are so eager they will agree to anything you say..there are degrees of openness though..some are photos and calls only, some are letters and photos only…some are completely open.

Please be sure in your choice before you hold hopes out to some couple out there…that is so cruel and horrible.

Also, find an agency that will work with you…agencies make money on adoptions (not a lot but they do)……their interest is best served if you give your children up. Make sure you have a counselor that will work with you..I’d advise a crisis pregnancy center…you need someone to support you and help you through all your options without any motives……

Hi yeah there are couples that are willing to do an open adoption me and my husband were looking into adoption and we found that we would rather do an open adoption so that the mother can be just as involved as we would be we want the birthmother involved in the childs life we hope to find someone that is willing to do that kind of adoption one day.

Yes – they are out there.
But they are not legally binding.
That means – that the adoptive parent can chose at anytime to no longer have contact with you – and THAT happens a lot.

Adoptive parents have – in the past – jumped up and down and promised to have an open adoption – but then soon after they close it off – with reasons of it being too hard.

What’s best for the child – is complete openness.

But many adoptive parents can’t handle it.

Personally – I think you’re way stronger than you give yourself credit for.
I reckon you can handle both.
Yep – twins are hard – but many before you have done it.

There are alot of people willing to do it! dont settle for anything less if thats what you want. Its YOUR child. Theres many waiting list and alot to do in order to adopt a child. If an open adoption provides more oppurtunity for a child, parents will do it. There are so many people trying to adopt, open adoption is still an adoption and a blessing for them.

However, you would be suprised how God can provide. He knows you can handle 2 babies. Just think of it as twice the blessing. I know it would be terribly hard to give one away. Just make sure your positive about your decision.

No there are MANY couples out there who are willing to do an open adoption. Might I suggest talking to someone like Catholic Social Services? They can help you with your decision. They may also be able to give you some help/ support so that you can keep both your babies. I wish you luck. I know this must be a horrible feeling and I am sending my love your way.

I know that people do participate in open adoptions all the time. I don't think it's hard, especially because so many couples want a newborn baby.

Is an open adoption easy to get meaning are there lots of people out there willing to do this?
I am currently pregnant with twins and i can only handle one child. I am young and ready for a child but i did not count on me geting pregnant with twins.
Anyhow is it hard to find a couple willing to do an open adoption?
