Zhu Zhu Pets Hamster Toys are the hottest toy for Christmas 2009, it is the must-have holiday toy. They are are the hottest craze among kids age of 3 or 4 and expected to be the most popular toy of the year. BUT… Zhu Zhu Pets are playing the disappearing game. As we close in for the Christmas Holiday the Zhu Zhu pet it is getting more difficult to find and expensive.

These cute robotic creatures melted many hearts, but I had a hard time this Black Friday finding any zhu zhu pets for my kids. Toys R Us had just a 100 for the lucky first in line. I was able to get one, after standing on line for about 2 hrs! I decided I’m not running around town collecting all the pets I need one by one, so I went to Amazon. Yes, of course I paid more but it was worth the peace of mind knowing my kids won’t be disappointed this Christmas Holiday.

Amazon sells Zhu Zhu pets hamster toys for well over $20. It is the best chance of still picking them up in time for the Christmas Holiday. I strongly recommend you don’t wait, especially if your child or grandchild really has their heart set on this toy.

So, you may be wondering, what exactly is the great allure? Zhu Zhu Pets Hamster Toys were formerly called ‘go go pets’. They are amazing toy hamsters that are an engaging and stimulating to children. These little hamster toys look like the real thing but don’t make a mess and can be ignored for as long as you want without them dying or running off. I think they are extremely popular due to the fact that, this is the world’s first innovative, realistic, interactive, plush, and artificially intelligent hamster that talks and moves around in their own play sets.

There are 5 Zoo Zoo Pets, each hamster has its own unique personality and makes whimsical sounds. The kids can’t help but just love them!

*Chunk is the laid-back surfer hamster who is famous for chillin’ out, hangin’ back and layin’ low.
*Pipsqueak she loves to play, explore, run and slide.
*Squiggles he’s a hamster on a mission: Explore Galore, then explore some more.
*Numnums her higly trained sniffer can detect a carrot from a mile away, so stand back and watch her search to find some munchies.
*Patches is the Zhu Zhu pet that is only available as part of a bundled package. The most widely available packages, includes the Funhouse or hamster House Starter Set. Patches is darker yellow in color with a large white patch on its back. Patches loves the flowers and in explore mode, goes about hunting them out. Fortunately Patches will be available in single packs starting November, and this November we will see the release of four new zhu zhu pets Jilly, Winkie, Nugget, and Scoodles.

Zhu Zhu pets are built with two modes;

* The Loving Mode which allows kids to pet them, love them, then hear them squeak and chatter back.
*The Explore Mode the pets drive around in little cars, zip up ramps and spin down slides, run in their hamster wheels, and get into all sorts of crazy situations.

Their artificial intelligence even allows them to know what room of their hamster habitat they are in.They make toilet-flushing or teeth-brushing sounds when they enter the bathroom and sleeping noises and alarm-clock sounds when they go into their bedroom.

The Zu Zu Pets Hamster Toys has multiple accessories available for purchase. Kids love to collect and connect them all to create their own customized hamster habitats.

Here are just a few of the many accessories available for purchase:

• Hamster funhouse
• Hamster wheel and tunnel
• Hamster-mobile and garage
• Spiral slide and ramp
• Adventure ball
• Surfboard and sleep dome
• Skateboard and U-turn
• Pet bed and blanket sets.

Anyway, if you don’t feel like hunting all over town for the Zhu Zhu Pets your kids are probably begging for, you can turn to Amazon. Wal- Mart is always sold out, but Amazon seems to have plenty of dealers selling these toys for a bit more money.

    hamsters? . .?
me and my brother want a hamster each, but we might have to have it in the same cage, what hamsters wont kill each other and would be best in the same cage? oh and what sex are best?
i’ve owned a syrian already, and i don’t want any babies

male and male will fight each other.
male and female will mate and have babies.
female and female should get along but not 100%
I had to female gerbils awhile ago and i never had problems with them fighting or anything. I would recommend getting them from the same story and proably best would be the same cage so they already know each other and only have to get used to a new home

a lot of hamsters do not like living with another one, so the best people to ask is the pet shop. as to sex depends if you want baby’s, boys are a lot more palsied than girl hamsters

Hamsters are for the most part solitary animals. Two females will try to kill each other, as will two males. A male and female will mate, them try to kill each other once the female is pregnant; the male and possibly the female are both capable of cannabalizing their own babies. If you want social rodents, why not try mice or rats? Mice are super cute, and rats are way more affectionate than hamsters.

It all depends what you actually want in a hamster. Syrians males are probably best for first time owners, because they’re easier to handle than a dwarf. Females are almost the same, and can be a lot tamer, but will run around a lot and will always try to run around. The only thing with syrians are, if you keep them together with no intervention when you realise fighting, they will kill each other. It’s just how nature goes.

I have never kept a dwarf, unfortunately, but I know as a fact they aren’t as tame as can be. But they can be kept together most of the time. Get one from a private breeder if you plan on getting one, because they will probably have been handled and such.
One specific type of hamster that can live together is a roborovski. (rob-a-rosky) They’re probably the cutest type of dwarf hamster, too. ^^

Well, are you a first time owner? The only type of hamsters that can be kept in the same cage are Robosrovski, Chinese and Russian hamsters. As all of these types are very fast and small, and inclined to bite to defend themselves, they are not good hamsters for first time owners. I would get a syrian hamster, as they are so loving and gentle, and they love attention. Plus they are easier to handle. As they need to live alone, no risk of mating or fighting. My sister and I had a hamster, we wanted one each, but were happy enough with one.

    As far as sex goes:
    Male – Inclined to bite
Female- Might be preggers when you buy it.
Male + Male – Bloody battle
Female + Female – Friends for a while but can suddenly turn on each other
Male + Female – Need I go on? (After one year you will end up with 32,000 hamsters)

Syrians are not social hamsters. So it is a bad Idea to put them in the same cage if you don’t wand bloody dead hamsters or new, baby hamsters. But otherwise, girl and girl are the most likely not to fight. Also, dwarf hamsters are very social critters. Try dwarf hamsters if you must put them in the same cage. But if you get dwarfs make sure you check out this website—
