What are important things to know about female hamsters?
Posted on Dec 11, 2009 under hamsters | 4 CommentsI am buying a female golden hamster for my B Day and I wondered what things you need to know about female golden hamsters before buying. Thank you.
Well I have heard that females bite more often than males but I had a girl hamster & she didn’t bite much so really it depend on the hamster u choose. I would look up hamsters on the internet. Here is a link to a good site.

That they can become pregnant!!!!! lol there is so much you can know i suggest getting a book at the pet store

i would buy a male. they are nicer and dont bite as much, but if u have to know, theres really no difference between caring for a male or female hamster, just keep her away frum any other hamster, feed her, give her fresh water every day, give her aspen or carefresh bedding, play with her every day, and also i would recommend wearing gloves when picking her up at first, but after she gets used to you, you can just use your bare hands, good luck and have fun!!!
