You could, but in a lot of cases, people get them in groups and they end up fighting.

They can fight each other until one dies.

I recommend you either risk getting two of the same gender or only get one.

If you do not intend on having babies, and don’t have a clue about what breeding hamsters is like, please don’t. Hamsters are likely to cannibalize their babies.

Please get either two males, two females, or one male or one female.

If you put a male and a female hamster together they are very likely to fight, so the mating should be carried out in a neutral cage with a partition. Place the male and then the female in the cage on either side of the partition, and then remove it. If fighting breaks out, separate the animals again. Alternatively, you can place the female in the males cage, but never introduce the male into the females quarters as she will almost inevitably attack him DO NOT leave hamsters alone unsupervised, as the may inflict sever injuries on each other. once mating has taken place ( hour or so) separate them again

ugh yes you can but you shouldn’t not because they’ll kill eachother it’s because they will have tons and tons of babies one litter after another after another….get two boys or two girls

They will have babies and they will not stop having babies. And yes, they may fight though it is unlikely. I would suggest that you just keep them seperate unless you want to be flooded with babies.

No I wouldnt if i were you because if u put any 2 hamsters together they will fight until the other one dies if there is a boy and girl the might fight and have babies if one of them is taking all its food to a different spot in the cage u have to seperate them immediately!

wouldn’t keep them together unless you plan on lots of babies. Also the males will try to kill each other as will the females. Mother hamsters will also become very aggressive after birth and will stay that way for a few weeks while protecting her babies, but can become pregnant again shortly after giving birth so one hamster can turn into 100 very very quickly considering they are not pregnant for very long – you can only handle them during the first 10-12 days of pregnancy and then they need to be left alone. Also, hamsters from pet stores are sold very young – typically 4 or 5 weeks old, and because of this if they get pregnant, they will typically eat thier young or abandon them because they do not have the necessary mothering skills to take care of them.

Best bet – different cages for each one you choose and avoid pregnancy as much as you can so you don’t end up having hundreds of hamsters or having to clean up after neglectful mothers.

Dont put any gender hamsters in the same cage, they fight each, have a ton of babies, and eat each other

I would separate them because they might reproduce and unless you are attempting to breed them this is going to be a pretty big problem to deal with.

they'll mate, then eat the babies. I use to have 2 too and i thought they would mate but 1 killed the other
